GUT 2026 Annual Scientific Meeting of MSGH
GUT 2026, the Annual Scientific Meeting of the Malaysian Society of Gastroenterology and Hepatology (MSGH), took place from August 28th to 30th, 2026, at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre in Malaysia. Organized alongside the Universiti Malaya Medical Centre's Endoscopy Workshop, the meeting explored the theme "Navigating the Changing Landscape of Digestive Diseases".
The meeting delivered practical clinical updates across diverse subspecialties, highlighting advanced endoscopic techniques, expanding therapies for inflammatory bowel disease, evolving oncological management, and paradigm shifts in metabolic syndrome care. The program had live endoscopy demonstrations, specialized pre-congress workshops, and targeted clinical symposia. The meeting fostered interdisciplinary collaboration by incorporating a dedicated MSGNMA track for gastrointestinal nurses and assistants, alongside academic platforms like the "Malaysia Boleh" video competition and young investigator awards to stimulate innovative regional research.
